Sturland are an established and well regarded specialist building contractor based in Bath. For almost 40 years we have built up a trusted workforce of over 50 skilled operatives and trainees. We undertake a wide variety of work with particular emphasis on Listed Buildings as well as domestic new build projects, extensions, commercial property refurbishment, oak framing and all aspects of construction invoving the use of natural Bath stone. We are an environmentally aware company and actively promote recycling of all of our waste products as well as the use of environmentally friendly and sustainable materials.
Much of our work has centred on the conservation and preservation of historic buildings in Bath and surrounding areas and this still forms the core of what we do. As our skills base has expanded we have utilised our specialist skills to encompass new build projects, particularly oak framed or natural stone buildings, as well as commercial refurbishment. The majority of our work is within a 25 mile radius of Bath, but as we have expanded over the years so have our geographical boundaries and we are happy to consider any projects throughout the South West.
We place strong emphasis on reliability and competence and we understand that any client, whether domestic or commercial, wishes to deal with a dependable and trustworthy Contractor. Every project undertaken by Sturland is carefully monitored, managed and supervised by a Director who is thus directly responsible for the well running of the project. Our personnel form a trusted and enthusiastic team. We have an established base of qualified masons, bricklayers, carpenters, decorators, plasterers and tilers. We also promote an active employee training scheme, sponsoring a number of new apprentices annually as well as encouraging existing personnel in their future development.
