Having been in my industry for over 20 years I was astonished when I set up my business at how much I still had to learn! As a new-comer to networking I found The Bath Business Club was the perfect foil for my growing business. I found its members not only welcoming: offering expertise and experience (all freely given across every area of running a business) but also generous in their time, encouragement and one to one mentoring. The lifeblood of my estate agency, (like many other small businesses I suspect) is ‘personal recommendation and referral’, this is in the very DNA of The Bath Business Club. Five years on, this is without doubt one of the best investments (in effort, time and money) I have ever made.
I have attended many forms of networking or specialist groups. Without a doubt, Bath Business Club is the best I’ve been to. A practical focus on developing each others business, without unnecessary pressure I think the format is just right.
The Bath Business Club has provided me with a wealth of networking opportunities and has generated a significant amount of business, both directly from members and through ongoing referrals. I have met a number of inspirational people and it strikes the right balance between being a social and professional group
My experience of referrals groups had not been particularly inspiring until I met the members of the Bath Business Club. Suddenly I have been a member for five years. In that time I have seen them grow in membership and ambition, to look beyond the club to how they can help the next generation of businessmen and women and how they can help local charities with some of the issues that effect people living and working in Bath.We are all there to develop our businesses, to give and receive referrals but we are also part of the business community in Bath so it’s only right we recognise that. The Bath Business club is a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment in which to network. Full of genuine, talented people, it changed my opinion of such clubs.
